Here are some of the most frequently asked questions.

1:  Who is Rx Savings designed for?

Everyone who has acute or maintenance medications, including those people with private insurance, Medicare, Medicare part D, and cash paying customers.

2:  Why should I use this website to analyze my medications?  Shouldn’t the doctor know this?

In a perfect world, your doctor would put you on a medication that was the most effective, the cheapest, and the easiest to take and your medications would be personalized to meet your needs. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case. Some Physicians may be out of touch with the prices of the medications they prescribe or are just to busy, and would find it impossible to know what your insurance covers and what medications would be the most cost effective. Because of this, we have found that having a pharmacist familiar with these variables analyze this information can help facilitate cost saving changes that will keep you, the patient, on your medications while not draining your pocket book.

3:  If I have a co-pay through my insurance or Medicare Part-D, wouldn’t that be cheaper than paying a cash price?

Not necessarily. In fact, often times we are able to find cheaper "cash" prices, or suggest alternative medications used to achieve the same result that can save our patients significant amounts of money. In some cases, forgoing an individual’s insurance or Medicare plan all together ends up being a better deal for the patient and can save hundreds of dollars a year on just one medication.

4:  How much does it cost?

The Pharmacy Price Comparison Chart and the Blog/Newsletter services are absolutely FREE. The price of our personalized cost saving prescription service is at the low price of only $9.95 per month for a minimum service of 6 months.  You may choose to cancel our services if you are unhappy for any reason after 6 months. If you are happy, you will continue to receive the services for as long as you would like with no obligation.

5:  What do I get for the money?

If you choose to engage our patient specific pharmacy services, you will get a personalized summary analysis of your medication profile based on the information you provide, identifying ways to help you save money.  You should share the information with your physician to talk about any variables that may need to be addressed. You will have to consult with your physician before implementing the changes to your prescription plan that we suggest.

After your initial personalized profile review is complete, you will have access to your personal pharmacist via email for cost saving questions, and resubmit new medications for continued review over the duration of your service.

6:  Who is providing this information?

A Board Certified pharmacist who has passed the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX), and is also licensed in the state of Kansas.  We have the expertise to be able to suggest cost saving therapies to treat your specific needs!

7:  For Medicare Part D patients, when does the donut-hole hit?

The “Donut-Hole” in 2010 begins for seniors with Medicare part-D after they have reached $2830 in spending for the year. At this point, the patient is responsible for the next $4550 out of pocket! This may be financially devastating once it is reached. But what if you had a cost effective plan starting January 1st? If you never reached that donut-hole, you’d be free from these major out of pocket expenses. This may not be the case for everyone, but for many, it certainly would be and may be able to save you BIG money on your prescriptions.

8:  What if you can’t find me any savings from my current drug regimen?

If we are unable to suggest at least $100 of potential cost savings (yearly), we will refund your money!  Please read our refund policy for more information.

9:  Is there any type of affiliation with directing traffic to a particular pharmacy?

NO!  While conducting business through this website, you are our only customer.  We will only present you with factual information to aid in your decision making process.

We understand that along with cost, several other factors may play in to which pharmacy you choose.  Things like proximity to your home and customer service are also important!  We will present you with all of the pricing information and allow you to make the decision that best suits your personal needs!
